This module focuses on creating a schedule that allows clinic staff sufficient time to build a relationship with new patients while managing established patients. It includes helpful tools for scripting and for phone etiquette. Do not underestimate the impact a poorly managed schedule can have on your financial system.
New Patient Data Collection
Although the steps to establishing a relationship is considered in depth in our other library courses, this module will demonstrate how to utilize the initial contact to obtain accurate information that will feed other aspects of the clinic’s financial and compliance success.
Setting Office Financial Policy
Learn how a clear written financial policy is a powerful ally for team members when dealing with patients regarding their financial concerns. Using the customizable tools provided, consider the questions we pose that may not be included in your existing financial policy. Personalize the policy and make a new template master you can use with all patients.
Your Elective Discounts-Professional Courtesy
This module outlines this important elective discount and walks providers and team members through the necessary steps to ensure that each offering is legal and properly documented.
Elective Discounts (Hardship)
This module will direct the doctor and team members in the steps necessary to establish a Financial Hardship policy for eligible patients. If you do not wish to offer an Indigence/Hardship fee schedule within your fee system, you can skip this module. Be aware, however, that in order to offer legal, hardship-based discounts, this fee must exist in your practice’s fee system. This module directs the office to establish a sliding scale and the steps necessary to properly verify hardship.
Elective Discounts (CHUSA)
KMC University and ChiroHealthUSA team up to share this important information so providers can determine where cash discounts fit into their practice’s fee system. This module outlines the “why” and also provides the simple answers for how to fix discounting blunders quickly, efficiently, and at no cost to the practice.
